Hi Readers
Its been almost four and a half years since I wrote my last post. Its the hectic city life that's mainly responsible for it.
Anyways, that's with everyone I guess. First of all a great thanks to all the readers who have been reading my previous posts. I am glad to inform you all one of my posts(ILP FAQ) had 8339 views which is very overwhelming.
Through this blog post I would like to discuss about one of our environmental problem which our capital is suffering SMOG(Smok+Fog). Last year unfortunately,Diwali was held responsible for the pollution but was that really responsible for it. Well, we all know the answer.
This year schools were shut down, it became difficult to move out of the home, situations became worse for those who had breathing problems and also for those who were fine. It was the time when everyone started thinking that this place is not worth living which is somewhere or the other true.
We have been witnessing this situation since last two years mostly during the first or second week of November. I think we as an individual should try to prevent this. Major root cause identified was the burning of crops by the farmers which is mainly done during this season. We should create awareness among the farmers for this. Government should bring measures to help the farmers to overcome the problems they face during crop rotation.
Burning of the garbage is another reason behind pollution. We see burning of the dry leaves along the roadside, burning of plastic along with other garbage. This creates lots of pollution and makes difficult to breathe. We should educate people that instead of burning leaves we must bury it underground and allow it to become manure which has its own benefits. Garbage must be classified as biodegradable and non-biodegradable so that the non biodegradable can be further recycled and biodegradable can be treated as manure. But the activity of burning down the leaves or garbage should be completely banned.
Construction activity is another root cause for pollution.
We need to ensure that we provide clean air to our future generation and should not harm nature who has given us everything. Since nature is giving us everything we need to make sure that if we cannot give anything good in return then we should not even give anything bad.
That's all from my side via this post.
Regards
